One Justice urges the Secretary-General of the United Nations to intervene to stop the Israeli violations against the Palestinians

The Israeli occupation forces executed three Palestinian citizens in the city of Jenin, in the northern occupied West Bank, during a special military operation.

According to the Foundation's follow-up, 30 Israeli military vehicles stormed the city of Jenin at dawn on Friday, June 17, 2022, and surrounded a car in the Al-Marah neighborhood, then shot 4 young men who were inside, killing three and seriously wounding the fourth.

One Justice points out the wide range of Israeli violations in the Palestinian territories, especially those related to the right to life. Since the beginning of this year, the Israeli occupation forces have killed 44 Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank, most of them as a result of direct shootings, which constitutes extrajudicial executions.

One Justice recalls the international resolutions that condemned extrajudicial executions, including United Nations General Assembly Resolution 61/173 of 2006, as well as the international recognition that extrajudicial executions are crimes under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The Foundation considers that the continued international inability to hold “Israel” accountable for its ongoing violations in the Palestinian territories has encouraged it to commit more violations, including extrajudicial executions, which have become a public policy pursued by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians in the occupied territories, especially the West Bank.

Therefore; One Justice urges international actors, in particular the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres, to condemn the crime of execution of the three Palestinians, and to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to oblige them to respect the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.
